Charming Antique Gilded Bronze French Letter Rack C.1880

Description

A wonderful and very charming Bronze Dore French letter rack or holder dating to around 1880. The dividers are all cast in the form of fences with a gate to the front. On the left hand side is a child jumping over the gate with his cap in hand and on the right hand side is a Cockerel or Rooster.

The underside has the makers initials cast into it, intertwined initials C J S.

Excellent original condition, measuring 6" x 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" tall at top.
