Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1930s.

The catch at the front works perfect and opens to reveal a mirror on the interior of the lid and a beautifully gilded interior which would open and close to allow the face powder to be dispensed through the holes, this bears a Patent Number; this is actually removable, and would have been replaced when required. Once removed the full English hallmark to the case can be seen for Birmingham 1930 together with the makers mark for Crisford and Norris.
Beautiful condition.
