Magnificent & Grand Antique English Cut Crystal and Silver Plated Biscuit Box C.1880

Description

A top notch example of a Victorian biscuit box in an oval shape, made from the heaviest piece of chunky crystal deeply cut and in undamaged condition.

The box stands in it's own silver plated caddy with a hinged lid, all beautifully decorated including a very welcoming Pineapple finial crowning the top of the lid. The underside of the frame has the makers mark, W D & Co., possibly for W Drummond and Company and dating to the Victorian era, around 1880.

A fabulous heirloom piece in excellent condition. Measuring 8" x 6" x 7" tall to top of finial.
