The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.

The watch is a good size for a piece from the 1940s at 34.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat rose gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Edinburgh 1948. The case is in lovely condition with just general light surface marks. The shaped lugs are a particularly handsome feature of the watch.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish and in very nice condition for such an early piece. Blued steel hands, red centre seconds and an outer minute track.
A later dark brown leather strap has been fitted.
