Large Victorian Mahogany Dressing Table Mirror

19th century
Description

A tall and impressive antique Victorian mahogany dressing table mirror. With velvet lined jewel compartment to breakfront base and adjustable double bevelled swing mirror. It has carved side supports and stands on bun feet. It has writing underneath which reads: “Laurrie Fellows from his mother”. Over 3 feet in height.

Construction/Wood:

Mahogany / Mahogany veneer

Condition Report:

In good condition. Some marks and scuffs commensurate with age. Original mirror glass with some light scratches and slight foxing in places. The uprights have a slight give to them and it leans forwards slightly with the weight of it, but overall fairly solid and stable. Would have originally had finials to top. One of roundel decorations to upright is (an old) replacement.

Height max: 37 inches

Size of Mirror: 17 inches x 23 inches

Mirror Frame: 20 inches x 29 inches
