Edwardian Mahogany & Satinwood Banded Bureau

1900 - 1920
Description

A small and charming antique Edwardian mahogany and satinwood banded bureau. In Georgian revival style dating from circa 1910, it comprises a fall front over 3 drawers. With fancy brass drop handles and a fitted interior with pigeon holes and 3 drawers. It stands on cabriole legs. A high quality piece it has lovely figured mahogany with satinwood detailing and is of a nice small, useful size.

Construction/Wood:

Mahogany with satinwood banding

Condition Report:

Good condition. Marks, scuffs and wear commensurate with age. Key is for decoration only. A mark to the interior (see photo). Some old worm holes to the back panels which have been treated with worm killer as a precaution.

Depth at Top: 8.5 inches

Depth at Drawers: 17 inches

Height to top: 38 inches

Height to Fall: 29 inches
