Opening to reveal a silk lined interior for showing a collection of "Bijouterie" i.e. scent bottles, snuff boxes etc. The serpentine frieze in fiddle back mahogany with satinwood and ebony banding, supported on four elegant square tapering supports inlaid with trailing harebells and pen-work detail, having brass socket castors united by a central serpentine shaped under tier again in fiddleback mahogany with satinwood cross banding and an exquisite floral marquetry and pen-work central panel. Constructed from the finest fiddleback mahogany throughout. A superb example from the Edwardian Period and undoubtedly made by the premier cabinet makers of this period Edwards & Roberts of London. English circa 1900-1910
