Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1960s.
This is quite exceptional, an Omega Seamaster De Ville in a heavy solid 18ct gold case.

The unblemished mint condition linen or textured dial is completely original, it has been not been restored or refinished.
It has the seahorse logo on the back of the case which is unpolished and you can see every detail, it has no wear whatsoever. It also has the Omega logo on the winding crown.

It is rare in as much as it has both Swiss marks and English hallmarks on the inside of the case.
The solid 9ct gold buckle is also original and it comes complete with both its inner and out boxes. It was retailed by R B Wigfull and Son Ltd of Plymouth who had the Omega franchise for the South West until the mid 1970s.

As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.
It has the calibre 552 24 jewel fully automatic movement, just superb.
It comes complete with a new premium quality chestnut brown leather strap.

Omega are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance that whispers class.
The watch case measures 35mm in diameter not including the crown.

Overall this watch is in outstanding condition and highly sought after by Omega collectors indeed it looks as if it was never worn, this is the best example of this model in original factory fresh condition we have ever come across - a rare find indeed.

The watch has been fully serviced by Omega specialist Alan Williams FBHI and is guaranteed to be a genuine Omega in all respects. It has been professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.

It is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers parts. Each part is then thoroughly cleaned in a three stage ultrasonic cleaning process.

The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturers approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and sealed.

Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give you reliable and dependable service and will not require further service for many years.
