The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The movement is signed Thos Russell & Son, Liverpool, and it is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and was made by the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The front of the case has black enamel Roman numerals. The small lens is plastic. There is a scratch, around 1.5cm long, to the front but otherwise the case is in good condition.

The winder pushes to release the front cover, with a little help from a thumb nail, and it reveals a beautiful white dial, signed Thos Russell & Son, Liverpool. Blued steel hands (some marking to the hour hand); note the special hour hand for a half hunter watch so that the user can tell the time through the little front lens.
