Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The torchere form columns, above the tapering columns, each with vertical panels of horizontal fluting, alternating with panels of overlapping chevron decoration. The column supported by three scroll and down swept legs, centred by a circular leaf panel, rising toward the column. The whole on a conforming circular base, with proud buttresses joining the torchere legs, the edge with good laurel leaf and medallion decoration, finished with three compressed bun feet, formed as petal heads.
