The style is French Gothic, the clock is architectural in shape with lions mask handles and hairy paw feet. The front is decorated with elaborate blind fret work and a goddess mask. Candelabra are of conforming design with four branches.
The dial is enamel on copper with a cast brass centre and is complete with original blued steel hands.
The French movement is of the highest quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully serviced by our clockmaker. It has the Belgium retailer Jos Leemans' mark on the movement backplate. Pendulum is replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some very minor wear to the original gilding on the high spots. The dial has some slight chipping around the winding holes. Candelabra arms are slightly distorted.
Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
