Georgian Scroll Paper Tea Caddy. Circa 1780

Description

Superb George III hexagonal scroll paper tea caddy with mahogany and chequered edges and with original silver handle and escutcheon. Unusually fine scroll paper work. The front with small coloured print of lady playing a pan pipe behind a convex glass. The interior with its original lead lining. All in superb original condition except a couple of minor blemishes to the chequered edges. (ex Georgia, USA private collection). Unusual to find one these caddies in such good original condition without repairs to paper scrolls. PLEASE SEE OUR OTHER SCROLL PAPER CADDY
