A beautiful, antique French boudoir clock of classical Louis XVI style.
The urn on top has a removable cover enabling it to be used to store small items.
Dial has the original fretted gilt brass hands and has the desirable blue lettered hour ring with Arabic outside minute ring. The back door is glazed with frosted glass.
The Samuel Marti French movement is of the highest quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully serviced by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the movie below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!
Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish with no losses or repairs. There is some wear to the original gilding. The dial has a light scratch next to one of the winding holes. A lovely looking clock to grace any room!
Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
