~ French - Circa 1880 ~
~~ Excellent condition ~~
A beautiful gilt brass clock set by the famous maker Japy Freres. It is Louis XVI in style, classically architectural and decorated with flowing foliage and flowers. The enamel dial has a cream background and is delicately painted with a floral swag.
It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the movie below to see this actual clock running and striking!

Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some very minor wear to the original gilding on the high spots and the candelabra are slightly distorted. The dial has some faint hairlines. The set displays beautifully as you can see below!

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
