Pair of Gothic Arts & Crafts Oak Desk Chairs

An unusual pair of late Victorian Gothic style desk or library chairs, in honey coloured oak with padded top rail and Gothic tracery and with high out curving arms. The padded seats are upholstered in a dark blue leather edged with brass studs to match the padding on the top rail. With square tapering legs, slightly outsplayed to the back, and united with an H-stretcher for strength. We have a total of five of these chairs.

A useful point to note when considering these chairs is that the front arm supports are set 8 1/4in (21cm) back from the front edge of the seat so the chair can be positioned closer to the desk than other models might allow.

In good condition for age, some water spots and marks as should be expected, the leather in good condition.
