Description

A Mid-19th Century polychrome decorated vase and cover, the lid with a flower bud finial, fluted panels, and a rounded horizontal rim, with profile ovals aligned to the flutes. The body of classical vase form, with horizontal collar and fluting, repeating the form of the lid, spreading to the body decorated with painted Arcadian scenes,. The body mounted with mask and ring sides, the lower part with tapering gadrooned shaping to a circular socle, and spreading fluted foot. The whole attractively pained with flowers and blooms.
