1938 Elgin 10k Rolled Gold Pocket Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A vintage 1938 Elgin 10k rolled gold pocket watch.

The watch has a stem winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is within 2 – 3 minutes over a 24 hour period. The movement is stamped Elgin, Nat'l Watch Co U.S.A. seven jewels and it has the serial number 37842972 which dates the watch to 1938.

The watch measures 49 mm diameter excluding the winding stem. The rolled gold case is stamped Keystone, Victory, 10k rolled gold plate. The case has light surface marks from use and mild unevenness to the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1930s piece.

The watch lens is glass and is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Elgin. The dial has hairline cracks but otherwise it is in nice condition, and it has its The watch has its original blued steel hands.
