A Life size Pair of Italian Carved Wooden Blackamoors
The Blackamoors have been carved in soft wood which has been prepared with gesso before being painted, the colours are very rich with generous amounts of Gold
Due to the age of these there is a little chipping of there paint and some evidence of the wood having dried out over the years giving rise to some slight cracks, and both of them have sustained a little chipping to their outstretched hands but all in all good pair
The Candelabra are working, but the wiring is old, they will be removed for transport and will have to be checked by an electrician when re fitting.
The lamps are 89” tall and the candelabra are approximately 26” in diameter
