The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The movement is signed Ingis & Sons, York, and it is protected by an inner hinged dust cover.
The watch measures 47mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the back covers for London 1913, with a maker’s mark for the Coventry and London based Rotherham & Sons. The case back has rather elaborate initials.
The watch glass looks good to the naked eye; there is light marking if you look closely.
The signed enamel dial is in good order and has blued steel hands (initially set by way of the pin set mechanism), a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
