The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The movement is signed Waltham, USA, and it has the serial number 27,426,874 which dates it back to 1931.

The watch measures 30mm wide excluding the winding crown and 30mm high excluding the lugs. It would suit a gent with a slimmer wrist or it could be worn by a lady. The case is gold plated and was made by the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison; Waltham movements were often imported from the US and cased and retailed in Great Britain. There is some rubbing to the plate in places, just from use, but it is not too noticeable to the naked eye.

The lens is in good order.
The white enamel dial is also signed with the Waltham USA name. It has a charming look with a red number 12, blued steel hands and an outer minute track. There are two or three hairline cracks to the dial.
A new black leather strap has been fitted.
