A Mahogany George III Period Antique Linen Press

18th century
Description

A mahogany George III Period antique linen press. The upper section with a moulded cornice above twin panelled doors constructed using the finest figured Cuban mahogany with the original pierced escutcheons, which opens to reveal a brass hanging rail (originally this would have had slides). The lower section with three rectangular oak lined drawers again with wonderful Cuban mahogany drawer fronts and retaining the original brass swan neck handles, back plates and escutcheons. The sides also in superb solid Cuban mahogany, all supported on the original shaped bracket feet. English circa 1780

Dimensions: 50" wide x 72" high x 24" deep

Condition: This press is in stunning original condition, cleaned and waxed. A wonderful colour and patination
