An Unusual Heavy Brass Lamp

19th century
Description

This lamp may once have been a French oil lamp holder converted to electricity.

It has been very well made with some fine details around the base and the top. The lamp has three lion's claw feet, and three unusual crosses in the middle of the sides around the base.

It is possible the central column was added when the lamp was converted, as the gilding is slightly lighter on the column.

The light measures 33cm up to the base of the lampshade holder, and is approximately 16cm across.

Postage and package within the UK mainland areas is included in the price. Quotes for delivery outside the mainland can be given.
