Description

A stunning antique mahogany inlaid jewellery bijouterie glazed table vitrine of the highly desirable serpentine design which has stood the test of time. Undoubtedly this curio collectors display cabinet is by the premier makers Edwards and Roberts of London. It is in outstanding condition and has the more sought after bevelled glass top and glazed side panels with a cream silk lined interior. The marquetry top inlaid with exotic timbers and original pen work and cross banded in satinwood. This piece uses the best quality timbers and retains the original crinoline stretchers uniting the shaped boxwood line inlaid legs. Circa 1900. Measures 25”w x 17”d x 30”h.
