Gents 1950s Lemania Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

Gents 1950s Lemania wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement, calibre 3000, which is working nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Lemania and it has the serial number 2014728.

The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and the condition is good with just light surface marks. There are some scratches to the screw-on case back but they are not too bad. The back of the watch states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, this should not be relied upon.

The watch lens is in good order too.

The signed dial is in its original finish and there is some age related marking and a little discolouration, all commensurate with its age.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
