A Rare Oak Arts & Crafts Period Dining Table by Arthur Simpson of Kendal

1900 - 1920
Description

A Rare oak Arts & Crafts Period dining table by Arthur Simpson Of Kendal. Having a rectangular three plank top constructed using the finest quarter sawn oak and with cleated ends, supported on four square chamfered columns with exquisite shaped buttress supports, reminiscent of Charles Voysey designs, united by cross stretchers. Having exposed tenon detail and with shaped "sledge" feet. English circa 1900-1910. Although unmarked this table is identical to one illustrated in "The Simpsons Of Kendal" craftsmen in Wood 1885-1952 figure 24.

Dimensions: 84" long x 36" deep x 29.5" high

Condition: This table is in excellent original condition, a wonderful colour and patination
