An antique silver Omega pocket watch, circa 1916.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, signed Omega, which is working nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two to three minutes or so over a 24 hour period. The serial number is 5,011,591 which dates it back to around 1916. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has Continental hallmarks for 800 silver. The cover is also signed Omega and it has images of various medals including the Grand Prix from Paris 1900.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. There are Continental 800 silver marks within the case back together with the Omega mark. Originally the watch had rose gold wash to the bezel and around the edge of the case back but a lot of this has worn off over the years. The case back has a central vacant cartouche. There are some marks to the case back, and a little unevenness, but overall the condition is very acceptable for such an early piece.

The plastic watch lens is in good order.

The white enamel dial has three hairline cracks but they are faint and not too noticeable to the naked eye, and a subtle repair towards the bottom of the dial.
