1930s Gold Plated Full Hunter Pocket Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A 1930s gold plated full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case was made by the German watch case maker Gustav Rau of Pforzheim … it is gold plated and has an Art Deco inspired design to both the front and back. There are a few small indentations, mainly to the front, and some minor marks.

The plastic watch lens is in good order.

The dial has charming vintage appeal with raised gold coloured numerals, gold coloured hands with arrow head tips and outer 24 hour markers.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
