Georgian “Country Chippendale” Side Chair

Description

An elegant antique Georgian “country chippnedale” side chair on square tapered legs supported by stretchers. Substantial and sturdy with lots of charm and character along with a rich warm patina with shaped top rails and pierced back splat. The seat has been newly reupholstered in a jacquard fabric with green leaf design on a cream ground. Dating from second half of the 18th Century.

Construction/Wood:

Mahogany

Condition Report:

Wear and marks commensurate with age. Solid sturdy frame. Newly reupholstered. Quite a few old worm holes which have been treated with worm killer as a precaution.
