Charpentier was a well known foundry that created beautiful gilt bronze clocks, garnitures, vases and torcheres. In 1860 the company was known as Charpentier & Cie and they were located at 8 Rue Charlot, Paris. Then from 1870 - 1890 they were known as Lemerle - Charpentier & Cie. The foundry showed its work at the Paris exhibition in 1878 where it won a gold medal
