The fall lifts to reveal an attractive bird's eye maple interior with 3 pigeon holes, 2 working drawers and 3 false drawers which conceal the pen and ink drawer which exits from the side when 1 of the false drawer pulls is released. To the right side are 4 graduated drawers, all with turned solid walnut knobs and escutcheons. To the left side are corresponding false drawers. The writing slope is supported on well turned and carved sugar barley twist columns with a figured walnut panelled back with raised mouldings and carved "C' scrolls to each corner. The outback with corresponding panel and the whole standing on a shaped plinth with turned feet and concealed castors. In excellent condition, with keys and mahogany lined.
