The dresser base with two shelved cupboards and opening drawers above, with four opening drawers to the centre.
The finely figured oak cupboard doors with shaped recessed panels and moulded edges.
The original pine lined drawers with quarter sawn oak fronts, crossbanded with figured oak veneer all with original cast brass knobs and backplates.
The key holes highlighted with inlaid mahogany diamond shaped escutcheons.
Original iron locks (no keys)
Moulded plinth and bracket feet with stile back legs.
The attractive panelled sides constructed of beautiful patinated fruitwood, which corresponds to the sides of the plate rack.
The plate rack with 3 grooved shelves and quarter sawn oak facings, with the original wide boarded fruitwood back panels.
The quarter sawn oak upper frieze with decorative mahogany diamond inlay and boxwood stringing to the centre and moulded cornice.
Overall a very attractive and original piece of furniture with a wonderful colour and patination.
The dresser is in good solid condition and beautifully presented, it has been waxed and cleaned using traditional restoration techniques and is now ready to be housed in its next home.
Please note the rack can be seperated from the base for ease of transportation.
