The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The watch measures 27mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 18ct gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for London (import mark), 1919 with the importer's mark for Arthur George Rendell. The front of the watch has beautiful, and unusual, pink enamel with blue Roman numerals and minute track. There is some damage to the enamel around the number VIII but it is not too detrimental when being worn.

The front cover hinges open to reveal the dial with a sunburst effect, blue steel hands and an outer minute track.
The watch 12ct rolled gold strap it fits a wrist of around 16cm.
