Gents Silver Rone Sportsmans Wrist Watch, 1956

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents silver 1950s Rone Sportsmans wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement with 15 jewels, calibre 1045, which is working nicely and the time keeping is good. The movement is signed Rone Sportsmans.

The watch measures 27mm wide excluding the winding crown and 27mm high excluding the lugs. The case is silver, and a good weight, and there are hallmarks on the back of the watch for Edinburgh 1956 with a case maker's mark for the British Watch Case Company.

The curved lens is a charming feature of this watch.

The dial has a nicely aged finish, with a little darkening.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
