Stylish Art Deco oak pedestal desk c.1930 of good large size and a striking modernist or machine age design. 5' x 3' desktop over drawer pedestals with a writing slide to each and single large drawer above the kneehole. The lower right hand drawer is double height for files etc. Good period detail to the stepped top edge and reeded centre to the side panels. Of superior quality with solid oak drawer fronts and solid mahogany drawer sides. Also polished on the rear face meaning the desk could stand in the centre of a room rather than against a wall. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied. Note with the centre drawer closed all eight other drawers are automatically locked closed. Push in the centre drawer to release the lock mechanism.
