Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1950s.
It has a solid 18ct yellow gold case and is fitted to a beautiful heavy solid 18ct gold weave design integral bracelet which simply glides around the wrist, it also has its original winding crown with the Rolex logo on it
It is quite stunning and the dial is in perfect mint condition. A new glass has been fitted and the watch and bracelet professionally cleaned and polished so it is absolutely pristine.
The calibre 282 manual winding movement is an absolute gem, sparkling clean and in like new condition, this is a movement from the golden age of Swiss watchmaking.
As you would expect from Rolex the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case, the bracelet and case are both fully hallmarked.
It comes complete with its original presentation box to keep your watch in perfect condition.
Rolex are one of the most exclusive makers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance which resonates class.
The watch case measures 16mm in diameter not including the crown.
It is fitS a maximum wrist size of 6.5"
Overall this watch is in beautiful condition and looks as if it was hardly ever worn, it would certainly make a perfect gift.
This watch has been fully and professionally overhauled by the respected watch specialist Alan Williams FBHI, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then thOroughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultrasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and the watch sealed.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many years.
