This is a very good quality pair of solid sterling silver table or serving spoons, bearing the sought after Exeter Assay Office mark. Exeter Assay Office closed in 1882 and silver with the Exeter Assay mark is becoming more collectable as time goes on.
They are clearly hallmarked on the back of the handle for Exeter 1841, with the maker's mark of William Rawlings Sobey.
They are in very good condition, with just one small ding on the top edge of the bowl of one of the spoons (shown in the photographs).
Length: 22.5cm
