Impressive George III Inlaid Tea Caddy

Description

A good and impressive late 18th/early 19th century cube tea caddy, veneered in harewood and profusely inlaid with an oval 'batswing' patera to the lid with the original gilded axehead handle.

The front is similarly inlaid with a batswing oval patera and flanked by inlaid columns to the canted corners. Good original condition with original lead lining inside. A "busy" and attractive tea caddy.
