Fine French Repeating Carriage Clock by Drocourt

Description

Alfred DROCOURT: a good quality late 19th century repeating CARRIAGE CLOCK by the famous maker: Alfred Drocourt, with his trademark stamped on the back.

The good "Cannallee" case (type of 'gorge') is in excellent condition with bevelled glass panels all around and to the top, whilst the 8-day movement strikes hours and half-hours on a gong. It also features a separate alarm train, and repeats hours at will. Original lever platform escapement and perfect enamel dial. Guaranteed for at least two years.

It was retailed by the Goldsmiths Alliance in London and is numbered 22178 ~ his recorded clocks go up to over 35,000.
