Antique Victorian Mahogany & Leather Spoon Back Armchair

Description

This antique Victorian deep buttoned leather mahogany armchair has a wonderfully generous curvaceous shape & is very comfortable. It's in good original condition & dates to around the 1840-60's period. The leather upholstery has been done more recently & done very well. It's beautifully deep buttoned & you can feel the original horsehair underneath. The leather has a rich brown colour & is hand tacked all over. The mahogany frame has a great shape, with cabriole legs & original white porcelain casters. This must be one of the nicest examples I've seen of this model.

Seat height - 16", 40 cm
