A fabulous cake knife, perfect as a gift or even for that special day and that special cake, this would be an heirloom to pass down generation to generation.

Top quality, the knife is made from silver plate with a beautifully engraved blade and an attractive ferrule joined to the fabulous heavy carved Mother of Pearl handle. Being a very special example, the ferrule is lucky enough to have a highly desirable English design registration diamond shaped lozenge allowing us to date it accurately to January 1883.

The blade has the makers initials for William Briggs from Sheffield. The knife comes complete with the original blue silk lining.

Superb undamaged condition measuring 10 1/2" in length, the box measuring 12 1/2" x 2".
