Description

A vintage 1927 James Wadsworth, Manchester silver pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to around 2 - 3 minutes over 24 hours. The movement is stamped 15 jewels, Swiss made.

The watch measures 50.2 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case has Birmingham hallmarks for 1927 with the case makers mark A.L.D. (Dennison Watch Case Co). The case has light surface marks from use and some wear to the engine turned detail on the back but otherwise it is in nice condition. The inner dust cover is inscribed Imperial Chemical Industries Ltd, British Copper manufacturing Ltd, Presented to S.Gaylard 33 years service.

The watch lens is glass and has the odd faint surface mark but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The white enamel dial is signed James Wadsworth Manchester with Swiss made at the bottom. The dial is in nice condition.

The watch has its original hands.
