Gents 1950s Garrard Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s wrist watch originally retailed by Garrard, former Royal jewellers.

The watch has a good quality Swiss ETA hand-winding movement which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 32.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is plated and there are some light surface marks to the front and further wear and marking to the back of the case, around the opening to the movement. The screw-on case back is stainless steel; it states that the watch is waterproof although, as with any vintage watch, this should not be relied upon.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The dial is in beautiful condition and has dauphine hands (with some marking), centre seconds hand and outer minute markers.

A new blue leather strap has been fitted and it sets the watch off most handsomely.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
