A good Victorian boulle desk top note pad holder with brass bound and rosewood base and a Moroccan style leather interior. In good original condition with no damage. Boulle - The process of inlaying brass into a coloured tortoiseshell (turtle shell) background was first developed in the 17th./18th. century by the French cabinet maker Andre Charles Boulle.
