Pair of Large Victorian Glass and Ormolu Lamps

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a very unusual pair of late Victorian ormolu lamps in the shape of large pitchers with highly decorative gilded details.

The lamps measure 68cm in height and approximately 20cm across the base; the central glass area measures approximately 21cm in length.

The centre of the lamps are made of painted cream coloured glass with floral relief in delicate colours, and the pitcher shaped tops have beautiful details and a lovely handle. The ormolu base has little cherub faces around - see later photographs.

They have been rewired to UK specifications using flex cable and fitted with new candle tubes.

They can be viewed and collected from us either in Surrey or South West London by appointment as we no longer trade through a retail outlet. Alternatively, if the buyer can arrange collection from us we will pack them safely and offer a discount on the price.
