Coysh and Henrywood note, in their "Dictionary of Blue and White Printed Pottery 1780 - 1880", that this pattern name was not titled as such by Rogers, but appears on later 19th Century reproductions made by Wedgwood which are clearly marked as such, and has thus come to be applied to Rogers' product.
