Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1960s.
This is the extremely rare Golden Shadow model.

It has the thinest fully automatic movement ever made until 2003 being only 2.5mm thick - the legendary 25 jewel calibre 66 and it is just superb.
As you would expect from Universal the watch is fully marked on the dial and case.

This is exceptional and looks as though it has been kept in a box its whole life and never worn, a rare find indeed and a superb super slim dress watch.
Universal are one of the most exclusive makers and this watch certainly has that understated elegance which resonates class.

The watch case measures 35mm in diameter not including the crown.
The watch has just been fully serviced and is guaranteed to be a genuine Universal in all respects. This watch has been fully and professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous

The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then thoroughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultrasonic cleaning process.

The watch movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. the cases are polished and the watch sealed, in the case of waterproof watches a full waterproof pressure test is carried out to manufacturers specification.

Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many years.

The watch movement comes with a full 1 year warranty.
This is a 100% genuine Universal watch not a copy replica or reproduction.
