Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The top is inlaid in cut brass and Mother of Pearl with the word " The ", French for Tea. The highly decorative inlay continues with the winning combination of brass and Nacre shell.
The lid lifts to reveal an interior as special as the exterior.

Complete with a working key, this gem is in superb condition dating to around 1840.
Excellent condition measuring 9 1/2" x 4 3/4" x 4 5/8" tall.
