Gents Ww2 Omega Wrist Watch, C1943

1920 - 1940
Description

A gents WW2 era Omega wrist watch.

The watch has a 30T2 SC hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Omega, Swiss, 16 Jewels, and it has the serial number 9,918,718 which dates it back to around 1943.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case has a stainless steel bezel and snap-on back, with a plated centre section (which was a combination used during and after WW2). Most of the plate has worn off the centre section, and there is marking.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial has been professionally refinished. It has a very handsome appearance with blued steel hands, centre seconds hand and an outer minute track.

The watch has a vintage black leather strap (but not the original).

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
