Antique French Marble Top Gilt Wood Coffee Table

1900 - 1920
Description

Antique gilt wood coffee table with a marble top & very crisp carvings all over. I believe it's French & could be from the 1910-20's period, but it's very hard to estimate exactly. The marble is in good condition, with one small chip that someone has had a go at previously. You can see this clearly in the last image. I don't think it's worth touching, although I'm sure a marble specialist could improve it. The table in general is quite sturdy, with very minor markings within the gilding & the marble seems to be well fixed into the top.
