Chinoiserie Oval Overmantle Mirror

1900 - 1920
Description

A stylish blue chinoiserie oval mirror dating from circa 1920s. Decorated in the Chinese chinoiserie manner depicting figures in traditional costumes, flowers and insects, surrounding an original bevelled mirror in a vibrant blue finish. A decorative item in good condition, could be used vertically as a hall mirror or horizontally as an overmantle mirror above a fireplace.

Construction/Wood:

Painted/lacquered wood

Condition Report:

Good condition. Marks and scuffs commensurate with age. Bevelled glass – some slight foxing in places and a few light scratches.

Dimensions:

Max Width: 20.5 inches

Max Height: 26.5 inches
